What is Karpenter?

Karpenter is an open-source, high-performance Kubernetes cluster autoscaler developed by AWS. Designed to simplify the process of managing compute resources within a Kubernetes environment, Karpenter dynamically provisions and manages nodes based on the real-time needs of your cluster.

Unlike traditional autoscalers that work with predefined node groups, Karpenter evaluates the resource requirements of pending pods and intelligently launches the most suitable instances.
